How can I participate?

The  ISSA is an association of different Tai Chi Chuan schools, with the common goal to open up this wonderful and dynamic style of tai chi chuan to the broad public.

To join our association with your school you only have to have the wish to teach the Snake Style yourself in your school, and have to be accepted by Master Boyd as a teacher for this style, first as an affiliate, later as a certified school.

Outside of the USA you can meet Bob about two times a year in Germany, if schools from other  countries are interested in also hosting seminars with Bob, this is generally arrange able.

Membership in the ISSA is free of charge. Neither the associated schools nor the students learning there do have to pay any amount of money as license or what so ever to the ISSA or Master Boyd. All schools work together in an idealistic and friendly way, to spread the skill of the Snake Style.
The associated schools also are fully independent in organizing their own day to day affairs, prices, etc.
Only the teaching curriculum for the Snake Style system is written in stone by Bob and is taught unchanged. The basic cornerstones are:

bullet

The system will be taught openly

bullet

There are no secrets to be kept

bullet

There are no necessary perquisites to learning the Snake Style

bullet

Every teacher chooses the best teaching method for giving the Snake Style to his/her students himself

bullet

If one is teaching multiple styles in his/her school the teacher has to absolutely make clear what of this belongs to the Snake Style system, and what to the other style/s. There must not be a mix-up in styles

You can get to know the Snake-Style in these schools

For training arrangements and details just send an email to a school in your region.

Best wishes,

your ISSA team
